STARS OF HOPE - () : It's not to soon to plan your Christmas projects and get started by making this lovely quilt. With Christmas fabrics arriving during Summer, it will be easy to choose your 3 fabrics to make this pieced and appliqued quilt. ART OF MACHINE APPLIQUE (Y): Learn to do beautiful applique using your machine. You will learn how to use different stitches,experiment with a variety of threads and applications. Mon., Nov.22. 6:30-8:30 Instructor: Pamela Sengo Fee: $15

BASIC QUILTING 1A (Y): Think you might like to quilt? In this one-time class you will learn the basics of rotary cutting, fabric selection, and piecing while making a simple quilt block. BEGINNING HAND PIECING (Y): Learn to hand piece straight lines, curves and perfect points. In this four hour class, Alice will walk you through each step, plus additional points on quilt making by hand. Great for travel projects. WARNING: It can be addictive! BEGINNING PAPER PIECING (Y): Learn paper piecing to make perfect points; finish Rocky in one evening. Tues., Sept. 28. 6-9 pm. Instructor: Linda Bergmann, Fee $15

BINDING (Y): An introductory or refresher course on how to finish off your quilt. This double fold, mitered binding is a standard for any quilt. Mon., Oct. 4. 6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. Instructor: Pam Sengo, Fee: $18

FINE HAND QUILTING (Y): Learn the hand quilting stitch, also known as the “rocking motion” technique, quilt top marking and thread basting. This class is for you if you have always admired those tiny stitches on hand quilted quilts but did not know how to accomplish them. FREE MOTION QUILTING MADE EASY (Y): Emphasis on free motion quilting and design techniques. If you have some free-motion quilting experience, this class will free you to move forward. INTERMEDIATE HAND APPLIQUE (YY): This class will take you to the next level of hand applique. You will learn different options for marking your background fabric to overlap applique pieces with ease for making true bias stems. I will be focusing primarily on the starch method for this class. Yardage requirements and directions will be given for the whole quilt, however, no piecing will be done in class. Tues., Nov. 23 & 30. 6:00-9:00 pm. Instructor: Dana Lahargoue Fee: $30

MACHINE QUILTING FOR BEGINNERS (Y): Turn your top into a quilt! Learn basic machine quilting techniques to showcase your quilt tops with both your walking foot and free motion foot.
