Sewing Center Going to the Dogs!
On Saturday, August 28th, Country Sewing is going
to the dogs. We start with the first ever Scottie Dog Quilt Show. All breeds are welcome, so get your quilts groomed
and ready for the show. Entry forms are available now and due in August 2nd, your quilts will be turned in August 26th.
Next, is the Kibble Club Block Challenge, pick up your challenge fabric and instructions, then create a special block.
A Viewers Choice Award will be given during the Quilt Show. A K9 officer, dog trainer and veterinarian from Franklin
Ranch Pet Hospital and Hotel are scheduled to be on hand for demonstrations and to answer questions. Collect your
scraps and pillowcases for the dog bed sewing marathon, or bring dog food or toys to donate to local rescue groups. If
you have a dog related activity and would like to participate, please call Pam or LisAnn at 916-685-8500.
Bus Trip! Pacific International Quilt Festival
Yes, this
show is not until October, but people are already clammering to sign-up for our annual bus trip to this great quilt show.
We will be traveling on Sunday, October 17th and the price is the same as last year, $45.00. Our bus trips are always
a lot of fun, with games, prizes and surprises so be sure to reserve your seat.
Country Sewing
Center is proud to announce we are now carrying ACCUQUILT Fabric Cutting System. Stop by for a demonstration of this
cutting system featured on Everybody Quilts with Alex Anderson and Ricky Tims. I took it out to play with it and cut
out the pieces for an entire small quilt in just a few minutes!
